That's all folks
We don't have any meaningful photos from GMing this weekend apart from this one of the chaos in the crew hut late on Saturday night. Or maybe that's the most meaningful one of all.
We were doing this all this time because our audience seemed to be enjoying it and we hope we gave them a satisfactory conclusion. Anyway we'd like to thank all our crew and players over the years for all the good times.

Character distribution
Everybody should now have had character briefing for High Frontier: The Weyland Factor.
For returning characters this includes a recap of previous briefings and some newer threads that may reflect anything you mentioned you wanted to take care of as "unfinished business" when you booked onto the game. New characters have been given links, where possible, directly to events in the game or existing player characters.
If there's anything you're unhappy with about your character or would like to add please get back to us ASAP. You will be given a printed copy of this and any character skill handouts etc. at the game.
We'll follow this up with updated practical information about how the game will run, when to arrive on site etc. over the next few days.

Summer writing weekend
Now we've got a fair few players booked in we also started adding hooks into sections for individuals to give them a moment to shine.
It seems a long time until the event but it will soon be upon us and it's likely this is our last face-to-face meeting beforehand. From now on in writing will probably be 100% online.

Spring writing weekend
With each episode we've done a slightly different setup to keep things interesting.
The Goodman Protocol was a straightforward planetside investigation: setting up the premise of the series and introducing the factions.
Extraction involved a hostage rescue and was a fast-paced, action focused, short event.
In The Drake Objective we ran a 'bottle episode' with the characters trapped and looking for an escape from a difficult situation with limited resources.
Now for The Weyland Factor we're aiming to have a strong sense of time and distance with events happening 'offscreen' that the characters are having an impact on and reacting to but can't intervene in directly.
This means we're going to have to create a large chunk of content that won't be seen and also be able to react quickly during play. We like a challenge though.

Writing weekend time again
It's not until you sit down and talk through things that you can really start to cross off the various "but why? why not?" problems that might derail the broad flow of the event.
We'll be testing our starting premise and options presented to the players like this several times over the coming months. Video calls are a staple of organising things but sometimes being sat in the same place at the same time helps stuff flow.
